Detailed Verification Guide

1. Third-Party Lab Testing

The most critical factor. A reputable vendor will have their peptides tested by an independent laboratory, not just in-house testing. Look for:

  • HPLC Testing - Shows purity percentage (should be 98%+ for most peptides)
  • Mass Spectrometry - Confirms the molecular identity is correct
  • Named Laboratory - Lab should be identifiable and contactable

2. Batch-Specific Documentation

Generic or template COAs that apply to all products are a major red flag. Request the specific COA for the batch you'll receive before purchasing.

Red Flag: If a vendor cannot provide batch-specific documentation, or all their COAs look identical regardless of product, proceed with extreme caution.

3. Verifiable Business Information

Steps to verify:

  1. Search for business registration in their stated location
  2. Verify the physical address exists (Google Maps/Street View)
  3. Call the phone number to test responsiveness
  4. Check domain registration date (WHOIS lookup)

4. Community Reputation

Where to research vendor reputation:

  • Reddit - r/Peptides, r/researchchemicals (search vendor name)
  • Peptide Forums - Dedicated peptide discussion boards
  • Independent Review Sites - Third-party aggregators

Be wary of vendors with only positive reviews on their own site and no external presence.

5-10. Additional Verification Points

See the checklist above for remaining criteria. Each point helps build a complete picture of vendor trustworthiness.

Questions to Ask Before Purchasing

  1. "Can you provide the COA for the specific batch I'll receive?"
  2. "Which laboratory performs your third-party testing?"
  3. "What is your return/refund policy if there are quality issues?"
  4. "How long have you been in business?"
  5. "What purity level should I expect?"
Pro Tip: A legitimate vendor will welcome these questions and provide detailed answers. Evasive or vague responses are a warning sign.
